Barangay Forbes Park is a secure gated village in Makati City. Also known as Forbes, the barangay is divided into two parts; North and South. It is in this barangay where you can find the Manila Polo Club and the Manila Golf and Country Club. Overall, Forbes Park is an exclusive subdivision that caters to well-off families and individuals in the country. A property for sale can cost $5 million and up.
Forbes Park was developed by Ayala Corporation in 1940’s. What made Forbes in demand to interested renters and house owners is its close proximity to Makati Central Business District (CBD), plus the fact that the area is not prone to flood. The Ayalas were one of the first few families that have lived there, and John Manning was the first buyer in 1949. Today, Forbes is as exclusive as its counterparts in San Lorenzo, Urdaneta, Dasmarinas and Bel-Air.
Location of the Barangay
Forbes is located near EDSA McKinley, making it an ideal residential area for affluent individuals who are working in The Fort or Makati CBD. The location also gives you easy access to the heart of Metro Manila like C-5 going to Libis Quezon City or EDSA highway going to Ortigas – Cubao. By street boundaries, Forbes is bounded by EDSA in north, Tamarind Street in south, Banyan Street in West and Cambridge Street in East.
