Barangay Pinagkaisahan is located at the north central region of Makati. Majority of the barangay is considered residential, but the part that lies along EDSA is mainly composed of business establishments. It belongs to a cluster together with South Cembo, Pitogo, Guadalupe Nuevo and Post Proper Southside. What makes Pinagkaisahan a go-to-destination for apartment renters is the fact that it is very close to Bonifacio Global City and the Makati Central Business District (CBD).
Pinagkaisahan is a name inspired by the bayanihan (consolidated effort) made by the residents of Guadalupe in 1916. It was when lots of families were forced to leave their homes due to the high property rental prices asked by the Jesuit priests who owned Guadalupe. The families vacated their homes and sought refuge in the hilly side of Makati, which is now Pinagkaisahan. Hence, the name was given to the barangay.
Location of the Barangay
Soundly nestled in northern Makati, Pinagkaisahan shares its corners with Guadalupe Viejo and Nuevo (north), EDSA (west), Forbes Park (south) and Pitogo (east). It also has convenient access to Kalayaan Avenue and C-5. Residents advise people who work in Makati CBD and Bonifacio Global City to leave 30 minutes before your work schedule, as traffic congestion on the main roads may cause some delay in your transportation.
